TRY Class: Self-Care & Coping Are Coming to Town

The holidays can be a time of great joy, stress, and often a combination of the two. How can we avoid getting burnt out? One powerful way is to self-support through healthy lifestyle habits and ultimately, sprinkling self-care in throughout our days.

Join us for this special TRY (Trauma Recovery Yoga) class, which includes the very coping skills we need to regulate our minds and bodies. We may find ourselves sometimes practicing self-care because we want to change something. Choose this class because you love yourself.

Brenda Hershey, Managing Director of TRY Global, will lead this class open to anyone. No yoga experience is required—just you, your mat, and an open mind. The TRY method is a science-based somatic method that integrates many carefully researched and proven techniques in a specific yoga sequence to inspire a sense of safety and connection. It is easily adapted for all levels, ages, and capabilities.

Brenda Hershey is a trauma-informed humanitarian and author of Your Time to Shine: A Personal Strategic Planning Workbook. She is currently leading a team on a livelihoods project, helping Syrian refugees start small businesses in Iraqi-Kurdistan. She teaches the TRY method to displaced women and children in the region and builds TRY’s global presence.

In addition to this event, Brenda also offers no-cost Trauma Recovery Yoga sessions to those in the Route 91 community who have been approved for integrative services through the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center. Click here to learn more.
