Setting Intentions & TRYing Something New in 2022
Please join us for a special TRY (Trauma Recovery Yoga) class focused on fresh beginnings. Come prepared with your intention for the new year, and we’ll move and flow (as much or as little as you want) to anchor into this intention.
Mindfully linking breath and movement, this method offers somatic and stress release. Brenda Hershey, Managing Director of TRY Global, will lead us with a short self-regulating and centering sequence based in science and psychology, moving with choice from seated to standing, creating internal heat to burn off excess energy, inspiring hope and gratitude through visualization and affirmation, returning to seated, and finishing with a body scan meditation.
Brenda Hershey is a trauma-informed humanitarian and author of Your Time to Shine: A Personal Strategic Planning Workbook. She is currently leading a team on a livelihoods project, helping Syrian refugees start small businesses in Iraqi-Kurdistan. She teaches the TRY method to displaced women and children in the region and builds TRY’s global presence.
In addition to this event, Brenda also offers no-cost Trauma Recovery Yoga sessions to those in the Route 91 community who have been approved for integrative services through the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center. Click here to learn more.
